Swimming:

2025/26: We are delighted that, because we brought swimming into school this year, that more of our children are leaving school being able to swim. By brining swimming into school this year, children experienced longer swimming lessons in smaller groups.

71% of children by the end of Year 6 can swim 25m: Pupils should swim competently, confidently, and proficiently over a distance of at least 25 metres.

91% of children by the end of Year 6 can use a range of strokes: They should use a variety of strokes effectively, such as front crawl, backstroke, and breaststroke.

71% of children by the end of Year 6 are competent in water safety & self-rescue: Pupils must learn to perform safe self-rescue in different water-based situations.

2024/25:
